An app for your own school in two days, and knowing why it is safe
A bootcamp for ICT coordinators, teachers and staff of school groups who have an idea for an application. You do not need to be able to program.
How this differs from vibe coding
An AI assistant can write a working app in an hour today. Whether that app protects your pupils' data, whether it keeps working when twenty colleagues open it at once, and whether you can still change it next year, the assistant cannot see. That is why this bootcamp takes two days, not one.
- Before you start
You describe your idea in Chalkline. The conversation produces a project overview that you bring to day one, so we build what your school really needs. - Day one: build
You build your app with GitHub Copilot, from an empty project to something your colleagues can try. You work with test data, never with real pupil data. - Day two: make it safe
Who may see what? What happens with a wrong input? Where is the data kept, and for how long? You go through your app with the same checks I use on my own software, and you learn to read what the assistant wrote. - What you take home
A working prototype of your own app, the project overview from Chalkline, the prompts and checklists from the two days, and the way to keep going with the free Copilot licence for teachers.
After the bootcamp, when your app has to go live
A prototype is not a product. If your school wants to use the app for real, I set it up in a separate Azure environment of your school, with budgets and alerts in place, for the running costs plus a fixed monthly fee. That is a separate offer, on request.
EUR 495 per person, excl. VAT
